Is WP/VP OGL or in SRD?

I was wondering if anyone knew if wound/vitality points were in the SRD or are OGL? I can't seem to find them. I'm planning on running d20 modern using the system but don't own Star Wars or Unearthed Arcana. My friends had them both but sinced moved away. Anyone have an online source? Thanks for the help.

I don't know of any online source, but I believe they were OGL'd by Unearthed Arcana, so if you find one of the sites that wanted to put *that* online, maybe you'll find 'em. :)

Unearthed Arcana is the book you need.

But if you're not into game publishing, then you can reference either Star Wars Core Rulebook or UA for your own game. Likewise, Spycraft is another source for VP/WP.

although I would greatly advise you to use Star Wars revised version instead.

IIRC, the SW version is slightly different and I liked it better. I forgot what the exact differences were but SW does treat armor as DR so that's a big difference right off the bat. Again, IIRC, the DR provided by the armor only applies to damage to WP's. It's a very good system.

My experience with UA is that while it has some decent ideas, most of them can be found in other rule books...and done better.

Star Wars version has the dying and dead rating like hp does (0, negative and -10) and it has the DR for armor applied to wound points only too, as you pointed GlassJaw. This one here could be used for a modified version instead, sicne it is OGL, and in case he wants to publish it that is the way to go.

I have typed the whole thing, have just added an OGL and present it eher to you, although I would greatly advise you to use Star Wars revised version instead.
You may want to double-check the legalities involved, before you post this file. For example, I'm fairly sure it is NOT ok to have "Wizards of the Coast" in the filename, nor to refer to the Star Wars Roleplaying Game in the text.
