item creation easier?

It says in the DMG on pg. 241 that:

"Note that all items have prerequisites in their descriptions. These prerequisites must be met for the item to be created. Most of the time, they take the form of spells that must be known by the item's creator (although access through another magic item or spellcaster is allowed)."

If I am a sorceror, does this mean if I have the feat Craft Wand, can another wizard in the party just cast the required spell into the wand when I go to make it. Does it still use my caster level or the wizards?

Yes, that is allowed. More detail is available on DMG p. 178, under "Prerequisites". Note that both characters are tied up for all the days of the construction process. Also note that the very next paragraph on p. 178 after a similar statement says that you can pick either person to be considered the creator for caster level considerations, and recommends you pick the higher-level.

Yes, you may use a scroll for this purpose. You may even use a Wand. You just have to have the necessary spell(s) cast (by some means) once per day in which the item is being crafted. Technically, you could even use a scroll one day and a wand the next and cast it yourself the next and have a friend do it the next, etc., as long as you spend the alloted 8 hours per day working on the item and cast no other spells during that time.

The no other spells thing I've always beleived to be one of the most moronic pieces of crap ever written, same as the no fighting thing. The 8 hour perios can't be interupted or that days work is lost makes sense to me. But a kobold attacks a level 20 wizard after he's done for the day and is relaxing in his favorite inn and bang he's screwed, or the wizard casts unseen servant to make his life easier and it some how makes his life ahrder and wrecks his enchantment.

I can see how they were trying to put in limits but it just wasn't thought through.
