i see both as "old school". i have more mystara material, i think, i i cant stop reading about many adventures by gary gygax set in greyhawk!
I'll echo this. If only because Red Steel is my favorite sub-campaign setting of the 2nd Edition era.Klaus said:While I got started in Greyhawk (and I used to know the City of Greyhawk like the back of my hand, thanks to that wonderful boxed set), I'll say Mystara.
But that's only because of Red Steel!

Thanks, Deedee!diaglo said:right. move the cave openings or make the tunnels longer. or change up the timing.
not all the monsters have to be there just sitting in their caves waiting to be killed.
although, some of them should be close enough to each other to have formed alliances or rivalries for the limited resources. as well as being scared of the more nasty caves.
timing is perfect. adventure party A cleans out caves B, D. they come back some time later after spending their loot on ale and whores. now insert monsters from caves G or A or some other into B and D.
edit: it wasn't meant for the party to stay in the area and clear all the caves. they shouldn't be able to in fact. and if they are. you should increase the challenges. so they shouldn't know that the complex is as diverse as it is.
