Congratulations! I've never been a smoker myself, but I've witnessed one of my friends try and fail numerous times to quit, so it can't be easy.

Congratulations, my Dad quit smoking cold turkey. He opened up a pack of cigarettes while watching a cubs/cards game and then said "ah hell" threw them in the trash, never smoked since.

Congrats!! 
Both Mom and my Aunt smoked years ago. Both quit. I don't know my Aunt's method, but my Mom's was to have an old pack lay around and when she got the craving, would reach into that pack, pick out a stale cigarette and then put it back.
However, my Sister and her boyfriend still smoke. Neither seem to want to quit, wanting to wait for the other to start.... even with Mom and her sister buying both of them smokeaways thingys.
I'm very glad I never picked up the disgusting habit. Smokers never realize just how much they stink up a room, the entire house and not to mention themselves. They just plain reek of stale smoke!
