Godzilla is an extraordinarily powerful kaiju known in some circles as the “King of the Monsters”.

Godzilla is roughly the size and shape of a large carnivorous dinosaur magnified on an impossible scale. It stands approximately 200 feet tall, and its tail is at least as long as the beast is tall. Its skin is a charcoal gray hue, with dark blue undertones. A ridge of silvery maple-leaf plates line its spine; these plates glow a neon blue before Godzilla uses his breath weapon. Its arms are far larger and more muscular than those of most dinosaurs, and its posture is practically upright.

Godzilla’s origin is steeped in mystery; conflicting reports have placed his origin as a dinosaur mutated by powerful magics, as an embodiment of Nature’s wrath and as the manifestation of the angry souls killed in an extraplanar war. Whatever his origin or motives, his behavior fluctuates little whenever he is sighted. Godzilla is a destroyer of cities, rising out of the ocean to wipe them out. He seems attracted to powerful magic, from which he seems to gain sustenance. He will also pursue combat with creatures as large and powerful as himself, usually in the middle of some urban area. Despite his destructive nature, many people see him as a savior from assorted menaces (usually other kaiju), and as such he is quite popular. Bards have composed songs, sagas, and even dramas concerning Godzilla and his exploits. What these popular works always overlook is that Godzilla’s very presence can be deadly, even leaving those lands he destroys prone to barrenness or to magically mutated creatures for years to come.

Combat
Godzilla usually ignores the efforts of humans to fight him. He can usually just absorb their attacks before stepping on them. He delights in combat with other kaiju, however. His tactics vary from encounter to encounter, however. Sometimes he prefers physical attacks, whereas he sometimes keeps his distance and pummels his enemy with his breath weapon. Very little can kill Godzilla, and even after his deaths he reappears; sages debate whether there exists a small race of Godzillas, or if the one Godzilla is immortal.

Battle Frenzy (Ex): When Godzilla is reduced to 25% of its total hit points (either subdual points or true hit points), he gains a +4 inherent bonus to Strength and can make an additional melee attack with its claws each round at a –5 penalty. These benefits cease when Godzilla is healed above 25% of it hit points or reaches zero hit points.

Breath Weapon (Su): Every 1d4 rounds, Godzilla may unleash a powerful breath weapon of blue plasma and flames. This breath weapon is a line 10 feet high, 10 feet wide and 500 feet long. It deals 30d6 points of fire damage (Reflex DC 62 for half damage).

Deadly Aura (Su): Godzilla emits highly deadly magical energy from his body at all times. Every living non-kaiju creature within 60 feet of Godzilla must make a Fortitude save (DC 62) or contract kaiju sickness. Incubation period 1 day, damage 2d6 temporary Con. Unlike normal diseases, kaiju sickness continues until the victim dies or receives a remove disease spell. So potent is kaiju sickness, however, that the caster of the spell must beat SR equal to ½ of the kaiju’s (in Godzilla’s case, SR 20). Plants wither and die in Godzilla’s path, and strange mutations often crop up in lands that he’s visited.

Energy Pulse (Su): Once per day, Godzilla may emit an explosive burst of pure destructive force. This takes the form of a 30-foot diameter sphere centered on Godzilla. All creatures exposed must make a Fortitude save (DC 62) or be reduced to 1d4x10 hp. This attack weakens Godzilla, however. He becomes fatigued for the rest of the encounter.

Haste (Sp): Godzilla can haste himself three times per day. This acts as the spell, as cast by a 20th level sorcerer.

Improved Grab (Ex): Whenever Godzilla hits an opponent with both claws, it can make a grapple check without receiving an attack of opportunity (grapple bonus +117). It can choose to conduct the grapple normally, or to only hold its opponent in its claws (-20 penalty to grapple checks, but Godzilla is not considered grappled). A grappled creature takes claw damage every round.

Metabolic Control (Ex): Godzilla does not need to eat, and only needs to breathe about once every decade. This effectively renders him immune to gas attacks that require inhalation, and allow him to live in airless environments.

Regeneration (Ex): Cold based attacks and dehydration effects (such as horrid wilting) deal normal damage to Godzilla.

Trample (Ex): Godzilla can simply run over any creature of Gargantuan or smaller size. Merely by moving over the opponent(s), Godzilla deals to them 4d12+21damage. Trampled opponents can make Reflex saves for half damage (DC 69).

Feats: The Battle Roar feat allows Godzilla to make a terrifying roar as a standard action. All creatures within 1,200 feet of Godzilla with 6 or less Hit Dice are instantly shaken for 3d6 rounds. Creatures with 7 or more Hit Dice may make Will saves (DC 58) to avoid the same effects.

The Stamp feat allows Godzilla to, as a full-round action, to strike a solid surface with his feet and tail to create a shock wave that radiates from him for 380 feet. All creatures in the area must make Balance checks (DC equal to 1d20+89) or fall prone. All structures in the area take 1d6+21 points of damage that ignore 5 points of hardness.

The Penetrate Hardness feat allows Godzilla to ignore one half the hardness of any object he attacks.

To create the Godzilla you see here, I used an advanced tyrannosaurus, the kaiju template from Dragon #289, and a little tweaking to get it as close to the on-screen version as possible.

I like this. When I did mine it was loosely based on Gojirra ... then again I quoted Blue Oyster Cult in my fluff! :D

... then again-again, that was the extent of my fluff :)

Does that mean that you think I should have cut down the fluff?

I'm glad I'm getting positive results. Would there be any interest in other Godzilla movie kaiju?
And I'll be looking forward to your entry, Krishnath.

oh no, it means I trimmed some of the extra stuff off (background) and cut and pasted teh-good stuff :)

You may have noticed the resurgence of all of my old Kaiju Konversions. This is where they all started (nostalgic sigh). I'm making them more visible, and 3.5 compatable to boot.
