It's good class, but nobody plays it!

What class in your game does nobody play? Although I have DM'd four games since 3E, nobody has wanted to be a druid or barbarian. Well, there have been two or three druids, but for whatever reason, they each only played in a single game.

On the other hand, people seem to love playing classes that many on the boards poo-poo. Ranger and bard are what I'm thinking of particularly. There's only been one monk, but that worked out pretty good.

What class has your group avoided for no reason? Is there a popular class for no good reason?

I'll say one thing for NWN, it's gotten the group to get more experimental. The games don't seem to "count" as much so we go a little crazy.

Odd as it may seem, I haven't seen anyone play a paladin. I want to play one, but only for a serious year-plus long campaign. Nobody else digs them. Odd.

In 8 years of gaming together, our group has only seen one person play a druid. I think that's due to our lack of understanding the class. Most of the group tends to think of them as shapeshifting clerics who can't use a whole lot of weapons.

Bards, fighters, Rangers and Wizards - In roughly that order.

I've never seen a party so low on tanks as the once I've DM'd since 3e came out.

Not that I'm complaining, mind.

in the games i've played in or run, noone has ever played a paladin or a single-classed druid, and a single-classed sorcerer, a monk, and a barbarian have only been tryed once each, and each game was very short.

well, if it's popular, there's probably a reason, right? :D

I want to add to the list of people who have yet to see a druid.
I have seen people try all of the other classes though. Just not the druid.

Right now I have a barbarian/courtier, a rogue, a fighter, and a telepath.

Well, since I started with 3E, I have never gamed with any PC clerics, druids, monks, or paladins. One of my characters had one level of Wizard (Diviner), five of rogue; we played a short adventure where I had a sorcerer. Pretty much most of the characters have been fighters. My characters tend to be the spellcaster of the group.

Interesting. My 3E campaigns have been very tank-heavy. I'd say the most common class is the fighter.

I've also had far more druids than I've had clerics. In fact, the only cleric I've yet seen played in 3E was when I played one in a brief campaign.

Ditto for wizards. I've played one, but everyone else prefers sorcerers. My group's also very ranger-happy.

I've seen a bard played only once, and the player very quickly multiclassed into other stuff.
