Found this on the Wizard's site:

Quote:

"The new ranger will have a d1 hit die, the rogue skill list, 80 skill points per level, the wizard's base attack and the new 12 weapon fighting skill. New combat styles include: "hide behind the fighter," and "play dead," of which he can choose between at first level, because, who are we kidding, he'll never make second."

if all this is true, the 4th edition will be the worst D&D. They are changing the role game by a miniature game. I now the rules are almost the same, but the miniatures must be complement for the game, and not basic pieces of the game like the dices or manuals.
I don´t know if will be good for my games use game table with battle squares.

If i want toplay a miniatures game, i never think in D&D, becouse this is my favorite role playing game.

According to a buddy of mine, there's a single reason for both the multiple task resolution systems, and why the boxed sets won't include dice: Hasbro is making up new types of dice to use with the game (and thus, market them exclusively by obtaining some sort of copyright or trademark on them). There will almost certainly be a d3, d5, d7, d11, and d13. I'm not sure about a d9 or d15, but they're certainly possible.

At least the brightside is I can now bronze my lucky d20 without having to worry about using it again!

There already is a d7 (the name of the manufacturer eludes me), but the others would be nice to have as well;)

Let's hope 4e includes all of them, so we have the "d1-d20 System"...

Actually, no dice will be included because they won't be needed. To make the game more inviting for younger players, combat resolution will be eeny-meeny-minee-moe. More complex situations will require the paper-scissors-rock system.
