Let me guess, not enough...not enough...not....*word loss*Dark Psion said:
Funny. I hated the Goliaths and Illumians, but I've got a remote spot on my world that I was looking to put a militaristic, flying sentient species. I've been toying with Aarakocra or Kenku, but neither really fits the bill. I don't like the elemental connection or the name "Raptorians", but the race might fit into a niche I've been looking to fill.MrFilthyIke said:I really liked Goliaths and Illumians. These...eh, I've never liked winged characters. You lose a bit of the POINT of adventuring. GETTING THERE.But, stats wise they look cool, a good idea.
Read it again... at 1st level they can only glide, not fly. At 5th level they can fly for only a number of rounds equal to their Con modifier, or twice this long if they are willing to become Fatigued. Not until 10th level are they able to fly at will, and by then, many other characters can already do that. A Wizard has his Fly spell long before that...MrFilthyIke said:I really liked Goliaths and Illumians. These...eh, I've never liked winged characters. You lose a bit of the POINT of adventuring.
