You realize, of course, that phrase scans perfectly with "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious," don't you?

Giant mutant fire clams and golden tiger mages
Are among the most refined ideas found on these pages
Grizzly bears with laser eyes are nowhere near outrageous
Next to guns from alchemists who’ve munchkined them for ages

Venderant Narabelong!

Phoenix Command isn't bad, it's just impossible to play.

I remember Phoenix Command and Living Steel. Any system that brags that their combat system is based on actual FBI ballistics data should be a huge red flag. In my abortive attempts to run a game I had to wonder if the developers could make this system work.

For Mage: the Ascension -
Super-future-cabalisic-paradox-psychosis scans as a reasonable substitution. :)

The Auld Grump, not that I've, umm, ever done such a thing, mind you....
If you want to view Paradox,
Simply look around and view it...
Every color, form, and hue, it...
Seems you tried to change the world,
Some
How
You
Blew
It....

So..... Where can I get these fine games??????

If you go to RavencsMcCracken.com you can get most of the PDFs for 1e WORLD OF SYNNIBAR and the errata; of course, the big CALCON where like, thousands and thousands of WoS fans (for all editions: let's not turn this into yet another WoS edition war!) gather to meet, as well as fans of the games based on the WoS rules, all the companies that have created or are creating SYNNIBAR based movies and computer games, and so on - you can get the scuttlebutt about the upcoming editions there, get into one of RcsMcC's games, and so on.

Does anybody remember MEGA?

Published by Armory, here in the States, translated (badly) from a language that I no longer recall, Danish, I think but am so unsure that I think that I am wrong at least as much as I think that I might be right....

The Auld Grump

I recognize it, I do not remember it.

How about Adventures Unlimited? The generic universal roleplaying system that gave you stats for an elf, but no magic system.

For me, I think that 99% of the rpgs out there are worth collecting. World of Synnibar may be a terrible game, but the game designer had at least good intentions. It's other games that like FATAL or that Race War rpg that I have to scratch my head and cannot consider any redeeming qualities. Of course, everyone has different tastes as to what they consider to be in good form so I know that there other games out there that offends people and doesn't offend others.

I've wanted Chivalry and Sorcery to go away. But not because its a bad game, but because an acquaintance of mine kept dumping on D&D in favor of a more realistic game.

"I want my 'medieval' far more than my 'fantasy'," he'd say over and over again.

Finally, a few of us, actually gave the system a shot. But I rolled up a common peasant archer with "butterfingers" as flaw, which basically made my character's archery useless. And then he wouldn't let me re-roll the flaw, let alone the character. The other players had similar results, more or less. To which the GM just sat there and laughed at us.

But then he stopped laughing and got angry when people started leaving the table.

Yet even despite this, he still kept on insisting that D&D was a horrible system (in all editions) and trying to get us to play Chivalry and Sorcery, just so he could watch us blunder through life as peasants. :erm:
