I've given up on WotC's message boards. What about you?

Are you visiting Wizards of the Coast's Message Boards?

I sort of visit Wizards' message boards from time to time, but I just can't get hooked on any thread there. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough, but I don't get the same vibe as ENWorld's boards have.

Do you visit Wizards' boards? Why are you, or are you not?

Anything interesting on there? Maybe you could post a link then?

I voted never. I know they have boards. And I did visit them once or twice. But they just seem organized wrong for my brain. And the few threads I clicked on demonstrated they take themselves to seriously on that site.

I have posted on the Eberron forums and the RPGA forums, because there aren't any really good message boards on those subjects outside of there. Now that Keith Baker has closed his "Ask Keith Baker" thread (something I expected for a while), I will certainly be spending a lot less time there.

IMO, the Eberron forums have gone downhill a lot recently. I had high hopes for the forums at Essential Eberron, but traffic was never high and those forums folded recently.

Well the Warforged Puppet Theater thread (in Eberron: Plots & Places) seems fairly popular.

I have posted there a couple of times to announce my free adventures, but I have never really browsed those boards.

I've posted there...but considering that I enjoy EN World more, not so much. (You guys don't shoot me on sight for having an opinion that might be overplayed or d20 relevant)

Trust me the only reason I look at posts from those boards is to see what the designers are talking about.

Or to rant about the power of Orcus. :p :)

I voted "did but have given up on them". Before I discovered the ENWorld forums in late 2002/early 2003 I used to spend a fair amount of time there. Over the course of about a year though I gradually moved to spending more and more time here at ENWorld. In the last couple of years I have only been back sporadically, and usually for a specific reason rather than just general lurking. I find that the maturity level is a bit lower over there, as well as the average age (IMO of course!).

I just looked. I have a post count of 1 on the WotC boards. My last visit was in February. This should give an impression of how much I peruse them.

Why? I don't like the atmosphere. The audience is a lot different from here, in a way I don't like.

Not that it matters to anyone but ... I have never felt comfortable with folks at EN World dogging another website or forum community. "We're great and they suck" just makes us look like jerks. My opinion only!
