Shadow's Edge, part 2 of The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. Fast-moving, with a bunch of interesting characters and villains.

Finished with this. Breathlessly paced, but the author's love of modern language felt out of place, and a Star Wars reference really kicked one out of the fantasy setting.

Starting on Kazuo Ishiguro's Nocturnes next.
