Yes, so where do you go for things that call for real HATE? Do you say you HATEHATE them? Or DoubleplusHATE? How do you speak of the things you hate more than a game mechanic?

Nope. I just HATE them in a whole different way.
Within the context of "talking about a game" there are things I LOVE, things I really like, things I like, things I could do with or without, things I'd like to avoid, things I really want to avoid, and things I really strongly want to avoid and will make a strong point of avoiding. In that context I called this last one "HATE".

I don't generally talk about childhood cancer or killing kittens here on ENWorld, so I took the context for granted.
Within the context of life as a whole, I guess I don't register opinions on games.
I like RPGs.
Within the context of RPGs there are things in 5E RAW that I HATE.

Despise, loathe, inveigh, curse, profane, spew upon, censure, and all-around call squicky. :)

But I save those for Nazis, Stalinist purges, and people who cut me off on the freeway.

And, you figure that all the other speakers of the language think that way? Or are you going to go with "no true scotsman" would believe that you meant real hate. They are supposed to actually figure out your actual emotional commitment in this context? Sounds like an iffy proposition, to me, and thus a poor communication, at best.

This is why I think the word "HATE" really doesn't belong here. Hate is a real thing, an emotionally uncontrolled state, best reserved for Nazis, those who abuse puppies and kittens, and things that cause actual harm to people in the world. We typically ban the topics that may deserve actual hate *because* they deserve it, and calm, reasonable discussions of them on the internet are rare as hen's teeth. Basically, if you say you HATE something here, my basic response is that you should leave threads about that thing, as you are signalling, "I cannot be reasonable about this topic." Either that, or you are engaged in hyperbole, which is more often problematic than useful in the context of internet discussion.

Wow

OK

I think most people got it.

I hate cancer and I can be VERY reasonable about addressing cancer.

Also, I still Hate those rules. But I have very reasonably addressed them. I think if you read my full original post you will see the "reasonable" solution noted.
So this seems a WILD overreaction.

There are some things I'm not fond of. But there's nothing I HATE. I don't think there's a game out there that has something I HATE (except maybe FATAL). It's just a game.

I don't hate the game, I like it over 3.5, 1 and 2

I can live by the Melee Range Sneak Attack from either version of the ruling, that is the only thing that I have questions about at this time
