Jetlag and Planar Travel

Fellows,

Can't find any reference to how time zones work with regard to Normal Time Planes.

If my elf steps into a portal on the material plane at noon, does he step out in Sigil at noon?

If not, and it's the first time going to Sigil (ie., character has no idea what the time zone is), do you just roll randomly to see what time it is when he arrives?

thanks!

HA! so KISS, and Normal time is normal time everywhere in the multiverse?

I must say, it was rather fun having my characters step into a portal at 10pm, come out in Sigil at 9am, and, by lunchtime...need a nap!

If I recall from 2e memories, the Temporal Plane, or it may also be referred to as the Dimension of Time or some such connects to the material, but I do not recall whether it connects to the Transitive Planes or even the Outer Planes. There's very little said about that plane.

Anyway, assuming the Temporal Plane only connects to the material, it's an interesting way to explain immortality and even the unchanging nature on some of these outer planes perhaps.

Given the above, I'd say time is largely irrelevant if you are plane hopping. Though this may make for interesting discussions about when someone gets spells/powers back if a day does not exist (been there already in a thread - trust me, just change "day" to "24 hour cycle" set by the magic "DM Clock" if you plan on soem serious temporal jaunts.)

I guess what I'm getting at is the DM has carte blanche here as to what "Time" is. : )
