I'm assuming that the picture is one of you - which means you're male. Do you realize what converting to Judaism involves if you're a guy? *w-i-n-c-e*

:D

Bagel Golem

i thought they already did that to me when i was a baby? i'd hate to have to do it again.

There is something else that is done when you convert and you are already snipped, but that's only the Orthodox that do it, and we don't need to go into that here. :)

Paladin - Mrs. Whitewyrm has approved the budget and it now only needs to go through Congress. We're on schedule. :)

A lot of non-Jewish men have that done too.
Oh, I know. But if you've been circumcised and you want to convert to Judaism, they have to draw blood from your century worm. Youch!

EDIT: Before someone gets mad, that's a Century Worm from the Fiend Folio 3e.
Heh. When I saw that picture while flipping through the Fiend Folio, I was a little taken aback. I can't imagine how this picture got into the book without at LEAST one person involved in the editing process seeing it and thinking, "Whoa! That's an enormous rampaging wee-wee!"

It's neither wrong for you to want one nor to wear one. Weird, but not wrong. I think that most Jews would think it pretty funny or strange - they wouldn't be offended.

In fact, when I went to the Jewish Graveyard in Prague, I (a roman catholic) had to wear a kippah. It was paper or very thin cloth (I think). I was terrified that it would blow off. I hate being disrespectful in someone else's place of worship.

My memory is a bit foggy, but I believe the reason we had to wear them is that we had to pass through the Synagogue to gain access to the graveyard. It was a very solemn place.
