Nice to be back. Now I just have to resist the temptations of Mexican food. Funny how you can take the boy out of Texas but it's a bit harder to take the Texas out of the boy... :)
Ain't that the truth. Up here in Michigan we've got great... yeah, Polish food. Meh.

Luckily, my wife keeps pressuring me to look for a job in Texas so we can go back home. When I rotate out of this current assignment (which I quite like, and which is slow enough to enable my recent post-count skyrocket) I may have to follow through on that.

Ironically enough (or maybe not) being close to family is her main incentive too. Although she does have a sister that's not too far away here in the midwest, and we don't actually want to be too close to family; just closer. And it's not like it's really hard to get between Michigan and Texas. No passports or planes need be involved, for instance.

Family is a mixed bag, isn't it?

My main goal in working is to have enough money and credit to leave the country when my family drives me nuts and to return when I miss them dearly. And I found a man who's willing to indulge my illusions of being an intrepid explorer. :)

Houses, kids, cars, "equity" (which sometimes sounds like a dirty word) don't really interest me a whole lot. But I find being ultimately mobile (which does have it's own price) greatly satisfying.

I'm glad to hear you're back, Joe, but this does mean you're no longer the Hugh Heffner of gaming. On the positive side, I think the title of "Lyle Lovett of gaming" is still open.

Well, at least I'd have more hair. :D

Sounds like a Mastercard commercial for geeks. ;)

Well, maybe, but that was Suzi's fault. She was to tickled at getting a free hotel and free meals from Bristish Airways not to tell anyone. :)

Oh, reeeeeeeeally? ;) I seem to recall someone named EXPJoe telling Ghost: "Sorry for the delay Ghost, but we're now back in the USA after about a week of traveling."

That was the moment I said to myself, "Hey, guess what?"
"What?"
"Joe's back in the States!"
"Really?"
"Yes!"
"Upon what are you basing this?"
"Here, look, read it for yourself!"
"Oh. Yes indeed, he appears to have returned! You are correct, I apologize for doubting you."
" :p "
"...this time."

Never trust a man whose innner dialogue uses proper grammar... :P

Anyway, If you'll note suzi posted we were back a FULL DAY before I did. It's all her fault and I'm sticking to it! :D

The skill you can hone most effectively in marriage is assigning blame.

Not that's its important, but well often exercised nonetheless. :)

And there has to be a synergy bonus or circumstantial bonus in there somewhere...
