Jim Caviezel to play Superman?

Point taken. But still, pulling the S off his chest and turning it into a huge plastic tarp to cover his enemies with, or teleporting around like Nightcrawler, but without the bamf, etc, were those in the comics? I read Superman Post-Crisis, so I don't know about that. Though I did know about the juggling planets bit.
The "teleporting" was simply super-speed running. Superman in those days had super-ventriloquism, super-hypnotism, super-kiss (I kid you not!), could fly so fast that he could "leave the universe" and more. He sometimes managed to get people off Clark's secret ID by switching clothes in superspeed so fast that people could see Clark and Supes together in the same room!

The big plastic trap? Not so far off... :)

I said nothing about Christopher Reeve, who I DID think was good. I mentioned Gene Hackman, the time-travelling bit, Lois' soliloquoy, and the last two sequels, but at NO point did I mention Reeve. So WHERE do you get that whole Christopher Reeve thing? But come on, making the Earth spin backwards on its axis and thus reversing the flow of time? You can't honestly tell me that that made any sense in any way, shape, or form.
It happened in the comic book. You didn't mention which version of Superman story you prefer (the more recent post-Crisis of Infinite Earth, including the story in which he was killed and out popped four "Supermen" -- actually one of them was an obnoxious kid). ;)

BTW: Next time you start have delusions about things that aren't there, if it's the Roswell Aliens, the Yeti, or Elvis, then tell them that I said "Hi", alright?
How about a Green Knight? Hi? ;)

I still say Jack Black should be Supe.

In any case, my favorite Superman/Clark Kent thus far has been Dean Cain. I thought he did a fantastic job on Lois and Clark for the first two seasons or so, before the entire writing department for the show went completely mad.
I liked him in the role, too.
But:
I am not an expert at judging the looks of males, but I think Dean Cains "Clark Kent" looked better than Dean Cains "Superman". It certainly wasn`t the looks that attracted Lois to Superman in the first place... :)
