I too am a big fan of Jim's artwork. It is a shame to hear about his condition. My best wishes go out to him and his family.

I've been bummed all morning because of this news. Most of the people I've admired and grew up with are now dead. John Ritter. Johnny Cash. Ricardo Montalban. Carl Sagan. Sir Alec Guiness. I'm only 42 years old and i've outlived most of these guys. And probably will see quite a few others I grew up with and admired die on me.

Why can't butts like Charlie Sheen, and Alex Jones die off that quick.

Hang in there.

I'm ... considerably older than you ... and have had pretty much the same emotional reaction.

The thing to remember is that we are all gonna go. Let's have a good time and maybe get a few worthy things done while we are here.

And not worry ourselves about what comes next and when. Live well, do good works.

Some classic Roslof artwork.

This is sad news indeed. :.-(

I'll never forget his amazing work on Deities & Demigods, my favourite book of all time...a quick glance over my copy (which never strays too far) and it looks like Jim illustrated the Finnish and Greek Pantheons as well as a handful of other pieces in the book (Moradin and the big Thor vs. Jormungandr illustration).

Also loved his module covers, so much character in his work.
