Job Opening at WotC - Apply for Mike Mearls old job

Wait - no one has yet said either of
A) So, Mike Mearls is done developing 4E?
or
B) So, Mike Mearls is now "designing mechanics"... for 4E?

I'm kind of disappointed. :p

Sorry mang, I was out on the weekend finishing off Kyuss and his wailing dire ax executioner's mace.

Well, I WOULD have finished off Kyuss, but I had to use Diamond Defense to stop his tide of worms engulfing my BRANE, thus using up the swift action that I needed to activate Raging Mongoose for an extra 2 attacks, which meant the dwarf barbarian got the honour instead of pureeing the wormlord into mush. There ain't no justice.

I'd love to work in some such capacity, and for Wizards. And, I have the qualifications, it appears. However, I have the lives of my wife and kids to consider, and the timing could be better.

So, best of luck to everyone else who applies.

Dave

I applied.

However, I had applied for jobs before where you had the option to submit a cover letter with your resume. Generally a smart idea so that you're an NPC and not just a stat-block, y'know? But to do that you have to log in first, then go to their job openings and select the job you want, then click apply for this job, then add your resume and cover letter.

For some reason if you are not logged in while viewing the job opening, and you click apply for job, it asks you to log in, and once you have it applies you for the job without giving you a chance to include a cover letter. And there seems to be no way to add a cover letter to a submission you have already sent in.

It's a bit frustrating. Do you think I should create a second profile and apply again?

I think you should contact customer service. The job program is really finicky and your whole profile can be missed due to technicalities.

Here's what I think you should do: send me an e-mail (eytan@eytanbernstein.com) telling me what happened. I'll forward it to someone I know at Wizards who usually helps me out with this sort of thing. Hopefully, the'll be able to put you in touch with the right person or tell you how to fix the problem.
