Jolie to play evil Queen in Beowulf movie.

Well there is the whole thing about Cain's Brood. I believe that is where Grendel is suposed to have come from.

Problem with the poem as it was edited by Christian Scholars is that they never noticed that Cain repented, was forgiven for his crime (by God but not anyone else), thus given the protection of God and given the city of Enoch. So much for consistency...

Well, Grendel is certainly demonically aligned, if not actually part demon, thanks to the Cain's brood thing. But Beowulf? I somehow doubt that making Beowulf a fiendspawn has anything to do with relaying the metaphor of the poem's conflict between paganism and Christianity... but I've been wrong before.

Demiurge out.
