Joss Whedon auctions himself on eBay

I've never had much desire to hobnob with celebrities (or quasi-celebrities as he calls himself), but this would be interesting if I had the $$$ and was going to be at ComicCon. Unfortunately I don't and I won't.

Personally I'd rather hang out with Peter Jackson. :)

EDIT: Or Alan Moore perhaps. :D But a recluse like him would never do this sort of thing.

The auction description is pretty cool, too. Love the 'fully posable' part, and the 'author of some show about vampires' part! :D

Wow. Somebody's got more money to spend than most of us have to spare....

Wonder if they'll spend the 3 hours crying about Firefly.... I wasn't too much into it.... only got to see an ep here and there.

... I feel like this auction is actually against eBay policy, but I can't find it anywhere. I could've sworn selling "people" (even yourself) was against policy, but I don't see where it's written.

The auction seems to be more for some fan swag and a spot at a private dinner; I don't think technically he is auctioning himself.

I've always found that there are scores of celebrities that I like but don't care to meet, and only few ones who I'd really like to talk with. Joss Whedon's contributing to a good cause reinforces my previous opinion of him: he seems cool. I think the people going to the dinner will have a good time, and not just because of his reputation.
