Is there anything, like an IP trace, to stop people with multiple email addresses from getting multiple accounts and stacking the votes? If not, anybody could to go to hotmail, make a few dozen accounts, and stack the votes. Knowing how the votes are going might encourage that.

In theory, yes. In practice? I don't think anyone has enough invested in the judges to go to those lengths. Only 160 or so people have voted so far. Doesn't seem like all that many are driven enough to bother with such extreme actions.
