Just a quick (but important) question about the Crimson Death

Hi !

I'm looking in my Monster Manual 2, p.53. This is the page for the Crimson Death.

The description says the creature has 2 attacks (which are touch attacks).
Listed under damage is "Blood Drain".

The description of Blood Drain is that it inflicts immediately inflicts 1d4 constitution
damage on the seized opponent.

Does that mean the creature can use its 2 attacks (presumably, on the same opponent) and therefore drain a total of 2d4 Constitution in a single round ?

Thanks for your many replies !

Yes.

On the first round (full attack let's say), the crimson death will make two incorporeal touch attacks. If one hits, it automatically Seizes the victim and thus the victim takes the Blood Drain damage. Neither are considered grappled, so the crimson death can attack the same victim with both (doing up to 2d4) or target separate victims.

If you use 3.5 rules, here is the Crimson Death update:
3.5 Update Booklet said:
Crimson Death: Undead; 5 ft./5 ft.; Concentration +18, Hide +21, Knowledge
(nature) +19, Knowledge (religion) +19, Listen +18, Search +19, Spot +18;
Blind-Fight, Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, Dodge, Improved InitiativeB,
Lightning ReflexesB, Mobility, Spring AttackB; LA —.
Having Combat Expertise is a significant feat and the crimson death should always use it at maximum value because incorporeal touches are so easy. In fact, he might want to attack defensively, too, for -9 on attacks and +7 on AC (+8 with dodge vs. one opponent).
