I'm in Dublin as well, please shout my way if you find a place stocking it - Sub City are saying Friday..

As a brief tangential heads-up, Models Inc are doing a 4e midnight release (23.99euro/book).

ARGL! Same here. Anybody knows if Borders in Cambridge has it on their shelves? (Long shot, they're not really D&D-savvy, but who knows)

I Picked up a copy at the Borders here in Augusta just about an hour ago.

Multiple copies left for anybody else in the CSRA.
No! I wish I'd read this three days ago! I can see what I'm doing during my lunch break today...

Yup, me too.

Oh well, Guess I'll just have to wait for it a bit longer *grinds teeth*.

Hm, just spoke to a game store in the UK and apparently the entire UK delivery was delayed and arrives tomorrow.. Wondering if Amazon will then just send them out tomorrow..

Went to the Mall here yesterday to see if Borders had it on the shelf, as I was walkign past the LGS I decided just to pop in on the off chance, and lo and behold they had it a day early. So I got it early and supported my LGS all at the same time.

I went to my local Borders and found, as many of you appear to have, that KotS was indeed on the shelf (3 copies). I didn't buy one and this kind of makes me mad. How are local small comic and gaming shops like the ones I've been going to for years supposed to deal with stuff like this. I know my local retailer has notified WotC several times in the past that the chain stores were breaking street date, yet they do nothing.

For a small product like this, the street date doesn't matter. It may irritate the publisher, but something like this arrives in a box mixed with other stuff, and the receivers at the stores just aren't going to check up on something that arrives as 3-5 copies in a random box. And of course, it assumes that WotC put a hard street date on the module in first place, which seems unlikely to me.

Now, this may not be true for the core books. If WotC is wise (and has any control over it) they should ship them packaged in boxes with big SOS (strict on sale) dates on the side, not as a couple copies here and there. Those will actually get put aside in a receiving room.

As of Sunday (the 18th) none of the Barnes & Nobles in upstate NY had KotS (or at least refused to admit that it was in the stockroom). Either it won't be on the shelves today (it really wasn't there) or they kept the street date. I'll be checking after a trip to Lowe's on my way home from work today.
