JUST BOUGHT KEEP ON THE SHADOWFELL FROM BARNES & NOBLES

Thanks so much for the new conditions?

If it's not too much trouble, would someone mind listing the Dazed and Stunned conditions? I've seen multiple versions of them since D&DXP and I can never keep them straight.

Okay, I was wrong earlier when I said it was bogus. I went to Waldenbooks at my mall today and got a copy. While it wasn't on the shelf yet, I did get the salesgirl to go into the back room and get me a copy. While she grabbed mine, she got a stack to put on the shelves. I thought I'd try my luck and ask for the core books, but she said that they had a very strict steet date for those and could not sell them. Not sure if she had them in the store or not.

... and will this happen for the 5th or even 4th of June? That would be a bit of good news for us, bad news for the big event day.

I Picked up a copy at the Borders here in Augusta just about an hour ago.

Multiple copies left for anybody else in the CSRA.

As a former employee of the corporate arm of Borders Books Inc., I'm seriously considering going to the least-well-managed store in my metro area and trying my luck...but I really do like supporting my FLGS.

So, go ahead and buy it from the B&N, open it, binge, but save your receipt. Then, buy a copy from the FLGS. Put fresh new unopened copy from FLGS into bag with receipt from B&N. Return to store. [Would that even work? Maybe if it's shrink-wrapped. I guess I don't actually know what their return policy is.]

My day went like this...

Wife: "Honey, I'm headed to the store. Do you want me to pick you anything up?"

Me: "Yeah. Can you go to Borders or Barnes & Noble? Some guys online are saying they've been able to buy this D&D book that isn't supposed to be released until Tuesday..."

Wife: "Sure, I guess. What's it called?"

Me: "Keep on the Shadowfell. It's by Mike Mearls..."

Wife: "Hold on, wait. I'll have to write that down."

Wife at Barnes & Noble

Wife: "I'm looking for a book."

Helpful Employee: "Which one?"

Wife: "Here." (hands her the paper)

Helpful Employee: "Ah. We have it in back. Hold on. I'll go get one for you."

Thankfully, my wife is not a gamer. It must be only gamers that have to wait until the 20th.

;)

Waldenbooks Employee: "Hello, how can I help you."
