After a one-years hiatus brought forth by a baby and Heart of Nightfang Spire (best left unfinished), I managed to start my Eberron campaign.

I am getting ready to start an Eberron campaign as well, and I'm really excited about it. This is the setting I've wanted to run since I first heard about it two years ago. I've finally found a group that's into it as much as I am! Glee!

Now can you fly to Oregon and run a session here? I really want to play in the Eberron setting, but no one I know is interested in running it. ;)
Oregon? Not in the foreseeable future. Can we meet halfway? Say, Indiana?

IYKWIMAITYD. :D

I'm still very interested in using the Eberron setting but converting everything to Grim Tales.

I think that would be a hoot.

Unfortunately I still can't get past Warforged and Halflings On Dinosaurs ... just ... I dunno. Why not Halflings on Dire Animals ... I could do that. But I've never ever once used Dinosaurs in a fantasy game. Just a thing with me. I used to be a huge dino buff when I was younger and it just FEELS wrong.

The rest of it seems pretty cool, tho.

The Eberron dinosaurs remind me of John Carter of Mars, Conan, and Dinotopia. Pure pulp. I dig 'em.

The warforged are easy enough to deal with if you don't like them. You can drastically reduce the number of warforged that were created during the Last War, and stick 99% of the survivors them in the Mournland away from all the fleshies.

The ECS includes names for all the dinosaurs in the MM, MMII and MMIII in Common and Draconic. So you can throw a Swordtooth Titan or a herd of Hammertails at your party, and not worry as much about real-world names like Tyrannosaurus Rex or Anklyosauruses ruining the verisimilitude of the game for you.
