Just how powerful is the Martian Manhunter?

Yes, but in that instance there was a "universal law" (since repealed, thankfully) that said the CSA couldn't win.... :uhoh:
Man, I loved that idea.

Of course, that's only in the Matter Universe. In the Anti-Matter Universe, the JLA couldn't win.

Yes Batman did it in the Moore run of the JLA, but didn't MM do it years ago, as well?
Yup. In the 12 issue maxi series...JLA year 1 or something like that? Written by Mark Waid. MM had a complete file on EVERYONE, not just the JLA. Secret ID's, everything.

Wait.

Martian Manhunter did that in JLA Year 1, written by Mark Waid.

Batman did that in JLA (Tower of Babel), written by Mark Waid.

Wow, talk about rehashing an idea...

But wasn't the main difference that MM's were well, notes and that batman's were like the Xavier files and meant to kill?

Phew! I was starting to think my comic-fu had left me. I thought it was JLA: year one, but for fear of being called an err..idiot, I thought I had better just keep quiet.

Sweet vindication.

From a power stand point, Martian Manhunter is said by the Justice League to be the strongest mortal being on Earth. Even stronger than Superman. In fact, the race of Martians were so powerful, the Guardians of the Universe (creators of the Green Lanterns) altered the race's breeding habits and instilled a fear of fire in them so they wouldn't conquer or destroy the known galaxy.
