thanks...so what was the speech at the end?
I don't know...didn't see the movie and have no desire to see it. Just thought I'd search out the old thread for whoever was interested.

I'm just about the biggest wussy around when it comes to scary movies, so I won't get near this one.

I liked Saw, but I got frustrated when people started doing the typical stupid things that people do in horror movies...
First. Why didn't his wife just shoot the dude. Maybe it's just me, but if a person put me throught the crap he put them through, and then I get the gun, he dies. No witty conversation, just one between the eyes, or at least one in each knee so I can find out what I need to know from him.

Second. Why did he cut his foot off before he answered the phone. Yeah he couldn't reach it, but why not take his shirt off and use it in the very same way he told the other guy to use his shirt. I think, before I resort to self amputation, I'll try everything else. He had no idea what the person on the phone had to say. He just started cutting away...

Third. The guy was in the room with them the whole time...and nobody saw him breathing? You'd think with the two of them sitting there all that time, one of them would have noticed his chest rise and fall at least once.

Fourth. The saws were dull. Ok. So have some patience. I find it hard to believe those saws, as dull as they were, didn't even scrath their locks.

I merged the two "Saw" threads.

The biggest letdown to me was ***
The whole thing with the "dead" guy in the middle of the room watching it the whole time. I don't care how good, imbalanced, prosthetically enhanced, physically defected, etc. you are - NOBODY can play dead for that many hours, let alone more than a few minutes.
***

However, my wife loved the movie tremendously - she can suspend disbelief better than I where serial killer movies are concerned, and I can for fantasy and sci-fi movies.
