Well, even after the trial against the Fire Giant, my character died in battle today versus a "rampaging herd" of Minotaurs....fml

During which the DM no doubt pointed out that Minotaurs were "monstrous humanoids" rather than "humanoids". Was your character still alone? If so, I'd be a bit ticked off at the DM unless previous expectations led you to believe the character was basically doomed when he was separated from the party.

Luckily yes I did excellent damage to them, but the dice were not on my side. I'm also fairly certain the DM was plotting this characters death lol.

However, I did get to implement a new "Monster Slayer" character idea I'd been thinking of for a new build. He blended seamlessly into the party thankfully, guess I'll just have to move on.

In all honesty the original Warblade I had built felt very bland (big, strong, combat oriented and meh socially). The new idea is more fun thus far, so I suppose it's not a terrible loss (except for the equipment LOL).
