Just some ideas

SwordInHand

First Post
I making a campaign, in it there is a small human village and a big orc stronghold. I big forest seperates the two, it is inhabited by a powerful druid, she has awakened a Dire Bear, a Dire Wolf, a Dire Hawk, four trees(an Oak, a Maple, a Weaping Willow and a Evergreen) and one huge Redwood. The Redwood hates fighting and will only fight if he, the druid or his forest is really threatened. The other trees are border pratrol. The Bear is heavy artillery, the Hawk(who can be found perched atop the Redwood looking for orcs) is scout and recconisions. The wolf is the "Hit and Fade" man, he attacks orc supply lines and the such. the villagers are not awear of powerful magic and they just bealive that all the awakened animals and trees are gods and the towns cleric(low level) gives offerings of blessed water for them to drink. The PCs will be ask by the villagers to attack the stronghold. if they make a good gather information check they will learn about the awakened trees and animals(the DC for this is not very high) if they don't, there is a chance they will be attacked by accidanet. if they make a real good role they will learn that the orcs attacks use to be uncoordinated but laately they have become much more affective. If they do meet the Druid, they may be able the convince her to let the wolf help there attack. I haven't made much of the strong hold yet, but in the end they will learn that the orcs where being manipulated by some Yaun-tis. the PCs do not fight any Yaun-tis yet but this leads into the next adventure. any thoughts are welcome and thanked.
