Just wanted to wish you luck on your first game-day in KC. The store owners there should be jumping at the chance to host this. We have hosted 4 so far in the Chicago area (3 for ENWorld, 1 for rpg.net) and will be hosting the fith one this Feb. I am hopefully looking forward to many more.

Thalmin, are you the guy that owns the gaming store that goes to all the local conventions? I'm pretty sure I've met you if you are.

Who is/are going to be the official organizer(s)? I have no problem helping to organize.

ghrezdd, probably me! I'm going to try to talk to Matt/Phil this weekend about it and see what they see, see how many people they think they can support. I'm thinking that their room is big enough for 30-40 people tops. If we think we can get more people than that, we may want to look at renting out meeting space from a hotel somewhere.

Actually, me and my friends did that once at a Holiday Inn to play some LAN games, and it only cost us $50, and everyone chipped in a little for it. So, if everyone chipped in $2, we could afford a $100 meeting room. Hotels rarely have those rented out on weekends, and we could probably swing a pretty good deal.

According to the posts here, I count around 38 people or so (including my own group who I could probably get to come), that could show.

That's cool. If you need help let me know, my email address is ghrezdd@yahoo.com.

I'm sure some in my group is interested (5 + me).

I was also thinking that Phil's would only hold about 30-40 people comfortably. I think a hotel would be cool and I would have no problem contributing for a hotel conference room.

Probably Saturday, and probably not for another couple of months. It kind of depends on what Tabletop's schedule looks like. They do tournaments and other things on Saturdays, so I'll have to work around that.

ghrezdd -thanks.

We go to several cons in the Chicago area. I usually go to Rock-Con, Rich does Little Wars, Rich and Jeff do Gen-Con.

Well, I've spoken with a few members of my gaming group(s) and they're interested.

Curtis, if I can be of assistance, let me know.

Thanks, Billy. I'm actually leaning towards the idea of holding it at a conference room at a hotel. Mostly because the parking availability at TableTop is awful!

I'm planning on talking to them tomorrow.
