I can't seem to access the Kargatane website.

Has it been closed?

Yeah it is a shame. They posted word sometime in may that they would be closing down shortly. That was a good site, espicially for anything gothic and Ravenloft. I thought however that some of the material would be open for viewing. Anyway I hope this helps, and opens peoples eyes that we need more Ravenloft on the enboards.

I'd be more than willing to host some of this content. That was by far the finest fan-site I have ever seen in this industry. Does anyone have contact info for the members so that I can ask them?

I think one or two of the Kargatane frequent these boards. They'll probably see this thread, given time.

It was up for a year or so after their announcement (maybe longer). Surprised to see it's completely gone, though. It was still working a couple of months ago- less than a month, I think, was when I last visited. Still had the Book of S.... series up as well as several other things.

Yipes! I assumed even the barebones site would be around forever! Crud...

Does anyone know how the netbooks were copyrighted? Is it alright for anyone to distribute them (unadultered, of course) or was is only the Kargatane that were allowed?

I know I could not use the RL logo. I wonder if they'd let me use their custom art (I assume the site was all done using the Kargatane's own art).

Damn.

Anyone know if they frequent any White Wolf/Sword & Sorcery Studios/Arthaus boards?
