Keen scimitar

If your DM doest have the errata take the weapon master with keen vorpal bladed gauntlets. One level of ranger for 2 weapon fighting, improved 2 weapon fighting and greater 2 weapon fighting.

7+ Critical and 8 attacks is sweet.

All hail Mr. Ginsu.
Don't forget the speed enchantment.

Against creatures with DR x/+1 or less, you can get 10 attacks.

Then there's Mr. Ginsu, the WW fighter with vorpal bladed gauntlets.

OK, OK! MY JOKE SUCKED! :) Anyways, I was referring to the very common mistake that people make by calling enhancements enchantements. Sean K. Reynolds has a rant about this on his website. He hates it when people call them "weapon enchantments" when they are actually all "enhancements".

Well, I don't know what Sean wrote or meant with portion of the DMG, but the final version makes a distinction.

Actually they are special abilities, not enhancements. And the +x equivalent isn't an enhancement either, its a market price modifier.

My use of the term enchantment wasn't really meant to be an official 3E term thing, or I would have said special ability.

Re: keen scimitars and abuse

If one of my players tried that, they'd run into a few 4th level orcish fighter/barbarian/sorcerors with Power Attack, Sunder, improved sunder, magic weapon, and true strike. Bye bye +8 equivalent weapon.

A smarter player would spend an extra 8000 gold and get an adamantite scimitar with those enchantments so that it has enough hardness and hit points to hang around for a little while. (But even then, it wouldn't help--if the DM get's really ticked the next opponent is a 15th level Sun elf Transmuter with Greater Spell Focus: Transmutation, Lace spell: Lawful/Holy/Chaotic/Unholy (as appropriate) (BOEM), and Heighten spell feats plus Greater Magical Flow Enhancer (BOEM), double empowered Fox's Cunning, a 23 intelligence (32 after the Fox's Cunning), and several heightened (8th level) disintegrate spells (DC 37))

The real abuse starts when a character takes 7 levels of Weapon Master from Sword and Fist, gaining the Ki Critical. Now they crit on a 10 and Higher:
18-20 base (3 slots)
15-20 with keen (6 slots)
12-20 with improved crit (9 slots)
10-20 with Ki Crit (11 slots)

As others have said, this isn't that bad since it only does 1d6 damage.

However, since you can't have this until 12th level, let's consider a a 15th level character (starting gold 200,000). He'd get a scimitar, +1, sure striking (S&F, +1 equiv., treat as +5 for purposes of damage reduction), keen (+1 equiv.), vorpal (+5 equiv.) for a total of +8, which costs 128,00gp, giving plenty of money for some magic armor and stuff like that.

Now he straight-up kills any humanoid he hits (assuming he needs a 10 or higher to hit). It is seriously whacked out.

That said, if one of my players did this, they'd run into an aweful lot of undead:)
