Not sure if it's a great idea. Branagh and Thor don't sound like a good mix.

Well, you are missing a couple there - like "As You Like it" from 2006, but none of them were "major", in the box office sense.

Yea, was going to say SLEUTH from 2007 too but that only made it to Widest Release: 35 theaters! As You Like it, straight to DVD!

He's remarried, so probably not

Still, I think this is an excellent choice.

First, Marvel has a track record of scoring big with somewhat indie directors.

Second, with his Henry V Branaugh proved he can make a Shakespeare movie palatable to modern movie audiences and I think they're going to have their work cut out for them to make this movie understandable. Thor isn't Spider-Man.

And third, he's been nominated for an academy award as a director, so I think he can direct.

That said, this movie scares the hell out of me. Thor? I wouldnt have the slightest idea how to condense that into a movie.

Did you watch the same Henry V as I tried to watch. Talk about not understandable, and I enjoy a good Shakespeare play or movie.
