Kenzer and Company Product Update 01/25/02

Ack! Guess I won't be buying any more Kenzer products. I really liked your modules, but what you are doing with the Mystara stuff is just pretty nasty.

?!?!?! It was a JOKE!! YES, they have the rights to do Mystara, but he specifically said that KenzerCo has NO PLANS to bring back the campaign setting! They're pretty much only using the OD&D modules and converting them to HackMaster, which is what they're doing ALREADY, and have pretty much said they're doing since DAY ONE!

Where people got the idea that KenzerCo was revisiting the Mystarta setting is beyond me... The Garweez Wurld is big enough to encompass ALL of the 0E, 1E, and 2E campaign settings... so it won't be Mystara even IF they use more than modules.

Take a deep breath, everyone, read carefully, and enjoy KenzerCo's wonderful products for what they are, not what they joke about....

Sorry about that,
Chris

As far as I read, David hasn't mentioned officially doing anything with Mystara.

And why would that cause you to quit buying any more Kenzer stuff anyway?? Just for spite?

This is how I look at it. Just as Hackmaster doesn't replace 1st ed. rules, 'cause you are still free to use them, any Hackmaster Mystara stuff would not replace any of the player-stuff. It would just be two versions and you choose which you like :)

Back on topic...

<<And the questions keep popping up in my mind...

How many pages is the Spellslinger's Handbook going to be? Are we going to see any rules for elemantalists?

Any chance somewhere down the road (i.e. 2003) that we'll see a complete guide to Grunge Elves? Or a supplement on psionics? Two of those things on my I hope they're coming list.>>

Cevalic,

Page count on Spellslinger's guide is yet unknown. I think somebody was working on the lementalist stuff, but not sure. I'm working on the specialist schools and some new spell categories myself.

A book on Grunge Elves sounds terrific! I'd say there's a chance.

Psionics is for sure in the works.

Dave

Hard8,

Just thought I would say thanks for all those horrible dream sequences in the Well of Darkness (IIRC). The one about the tunnel and the mud made me want to vomit. I loved it.
