Kenzer Dudes,

I saw this in the Upcoming D20 Products section:

Worlds Most Complete D&D Arms and Equipment Guide
November 2002
Kenzer & Co

http://www.enworld.org/d20reviews.asp?sub=yes&where=currentprod&which=kearmeq

I also saw this posted over at GamingReport.com:

WotC Product Schedule Update

March
Dungeons and Dragons
Arms and Equipment Guide (Hard Cover) $26.95 160 pg

http://www.gamingreport.com/article.php?sid=4878&mode=&order=0

How is this going to affect you guys in putting out your Arms & Equipment guide?

Thanks!

The WotC release is for D&D, meaning it will be filled with useful toys like swords and glave guisarms, whereas the Kenzer equipment is for the modern era.

I'm looking forward to the Kenzer book. The WotC book, well i've not seen anything of theirs that has impressed me enough to put down any hard cash.

You did read the title of Kenzer's book, right?

Worlds Most Complete D&D Arms and Equipment Guide

Doesn't say anything about being a Modern arms guide? And frankly that would not fit in with the rest of the product line Kenzer is producing...

Thanks!

Hi there. I pointed this thread out to the folks at Kenzer. Lloyd Brown said they are all at GenCon though and won't be able to answer for another week maybe.

WOTC doesn't share details of its offerings with us, so we cannot tell how this will affect our release at this point. My guess is that it'll delay the approval process, but at this point, we don't know.

Would it be possible to get some more information about what's planned for this book? The original AD&D Arms & Equipment Guide was easily one of my most worthwhile purchases, and a 3e update, or better, is much anticipated.

There is already an Arms and Armor book for D&D by Bastion Press, and now we have 2 more coming... Knowing Kenzer's line, I suspect it will be swords and platemail, not guns. Even if it were guns, it would have to compete with the Arms book just put out for Spycraft, plus the gun stats/ rules in Weird War, Godlike, CoC, Afganistan, Weird West, etc, etc...
