Kenzer's Villain Design Handbook -- how setting specific is it?

they sent me a hackmaster book and a kalamar adventure. well written with almost no editing errors which is more then you can say about most companies. every time i try to run the adventure something happens to kill the session. this book sounds great. why have i not heard of it by now?

I picked mine up today and so far it looks pretty good. Lots of solid information on different types of villains (as one might expect). Haven't been able to properly read through it yet.. so I'm reserving judgement.

I will say the book is pretty. Kenzer's production quality has greatly improved since the KoK Campaign Sourcebook....

Also, does it suggest villains of every class? I'd like to see good examples of Druid, Bard,and Paladin 'villains'.

I have decided to buy this one as well, mainly because looking at the stuff in it, and combining it with the stuff in BoVD, I can make some very evil villans that have darned good reasons for being that way. Also, I can make some very good misguided villans whose means cause more problems. Combined I think it would be a boon.

Except for the fact that Mark Plemmons works for Kenzer. Maybe it's scoop-worthy though?

Yeah, as for reviewing this book, I'm not exactly unbiased. I did a lot of editing, as well as writing several sections of it (new summoning rules, a monster template or two, and lots of little paragraphs of stuff in various locations). Besides, all I really gave was the table of contents. Not much of a review. Hopefully someone will review it shortly, once everyone's had a chance to pick it up.
