[Khan's Press] Open Call for Artists for a new Project -- CLOSED

Kaledor

First Post
Khan’s Press, creators of d20 supplements like Soul Harvest and the Tempest, is looking for new talent. We currently have a new set of supplements coming out and the concept is very artwork intensive.

Ideally we are looking for 4 to 8 new artists that can see a project all the way through to completion. The project contains around 60+ illustrations, mostly black and whites/grayscales. The theme of the project is dark gothic meets ancient history, and the artist should be able to render Realistic images (though we are accepting all types of artwork, like anime, because the project does have some overlapping themes).

The project does pay. Khan’s Press deals completely in a percentage-profit pay system. We understand that many veteran artists occasionally baulk at this concept, so we are gearing this open call to young/new talents that would like a chance to get their work published (AND get a small monetary reward for doing so). But, please, if you are a veteran and do not mind profit pay, then by all means apply away!! :)

Interested artists should email me [Sean] (kaledor at yahoo dot com) with the subject line of “KP Open Call”. Send me your name and a link to your portfolio or a sample or two. We will be taking submissions/applications until the end of the month of July.

I'll try & get something out over the weekend/holiday

No problem.
We're really trying to get a good response from artists and that's why we have left the submissions open for a lengthy period.

Look forward to seeing your work.

We will be making our final decisions this weekend and sending out final responses to everyone this coming week.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to respond. We were really pleased with the turnout. It's great to see so much talent out there!

Ps.
If you didn't get a chance to submit to us for this open call, OR if you don't make the selection for this particular project, that doesn't mean that Khan's Press doesn't want to hear from you. We are always looking for freelancers that are committed to producing quality gaming material. So, feel free to email us (kaledor at yahoo dot com) or stop by our website.

The Open Call has been officially closed.
We just sent out acceptance and decline emails this afternoon.

Thanks again to all those that submitted.
