Absolutely agree. If you watch the most recent U.S. congressional hearing on crypto, you see the usual politicians from our anti-all-regulations-no-matter-what party deploying the same rhetoric they always do, essentially praising whatever it is these private sector folks are doing with this here inscrutable crypto stuff, because they must know what they're doing, they're making money! Or, something like money? Ah, who cares, regulations are bad, and such.
(I know, this is overtly political, but it's also why companies like Kickstarter can do whatever they want with blockchain or crypto assets without anyone in government intervening, except maybe to help expand the NFT bubble even further)
