[kinda OT] Famous Gamers

Most of the kids of the E.T. cast played D&D during the filming of the movie. That is probably also the worse decision ever on the part of TSR, when asked if they could have the kids playing D&D -in- the movie, they said "No." So instead we see them playing some board game. That was before Product Placement was recognized as a good form of publicity. And they could have had it for free.

Stephen King (maybe).

I saw a photo of him in front of his bookshelf and there was a copy of "horror on the orient express" on it. An old call of cthulhu adventure. Now he would be a good Keeper.

Curt Schilling is a DEVOTED Everquest player. He is, however, not alone in MLB as an Never-Rest-er. Apparently, laptops with EverCrack on them are catching on around the league. *shrug*

I don't know of anyother famous people who game...

How about normal people who game, and their characters are now more famous than they? Such as the "players" from Mr. Gygax's campaigns, etc.

One of my friend's original characters was named Khelben, and IIRC, he carried a black staff, and was a magic user of some skill. He had to move, left his character with his gaming group cause they were getting to be high level.. and lo and behold.. a couple of years later... TSR introduced his character as a FR iconic. *too cool*

that's all.

Curt Schilling is definitely a devoted war-gamer. Last I checked, he's president of Multi-Man Publishing and they put out and support Advanced Squad Leader.

I've also heard Wil Wheaton is a gamer.
