A few years ago, I spent the night at my grandparents house on the eve of Easter. I went out in the morning to get the paper and my cat (I left her there with them when I moved out ie they wouldn't part with her) had killed a rabbit and left it on the front step. I almost fell over laughing. I can only imagine if I had been a kid and found that, I am sure I would have cried that she had killed the Easter bunny.

My wife's rabbit was torn apart (i.e. it's head ripped off) by a cat a few years ago. Ever since then she (understandably) has not liked cats. We currently have 2 rabbits that I gave to her as a wedding present. I can only imagine what she would do if she saw a cat hanging around near their hutch.

I'm very much a dog person myself. Cats are ok but they treat you like they are god and the boss of the household.

To each his own I guess.

Which brings to mind the old saying about the difference between cats and dogs:

A dog looks at their owner and says, "they bring me food - they must be a god!"
A cat looks at their owner and says, "they bring me food - I must be a god!"

QFT!!!!

What a pity so many people give cats such a hard time. I am definitely a cat person, though. As the folk saying goes: "Every frog praises his own swamp."
