As much as I loved the original KITT, haven't they tried to reboot this three times already?

Oh man that looks so awesome! I mean, the car, driving through the desert. Classic. And Hoff, just standing there? Also classic. This is going to be the best movie ever!

Okay, I don't really know why I went the sarcastic route, but for some reason it just felt right. I know there have been movies with similar ideas. I swear I remember there being a movie where there was like a TEAM of people with talking vehicles. There was also a Knight Rider TV series a few years back, but I don't think it lasted more than one season. I think this might be a Redbox film... at best.

Knight Rider is the one series that didn't really seem to stand up the test of time. I could still enjoy A-Team and Airwolf (early seasons), I think. But Knight Rider was my absolute favorite as a kid and today it just doesn't stand up anymore. A-Team has all the fun character interactions and the crazy escape plans (or rather crazy places to lock up a bunch of professionals), Airwolf has the entire Cold War stuff that I didn't get a child but can appreciate as adult. But Knight Rider seemed to have lived mostly on the talking car and the stunts, and has minimum character interaction and no depth.

I would love to see a "reimagination", continuation or whatever, but I am not sure there is a way to really make it good. I fear that involving Hasselhoff of the past is good for nostalgia, but might not help any new attempt.
Reusing the car - that would work with me.

I went and watched the 2008 movie last night and it actually wasn't too bad, it had more depth the the original. It actually had a kind of Person of Interest vibe to it with KITT doubling as Finch/The Machine and the FBI agent in the Carter role. I think they could run with that giving us less cheese and more grit. Didn't watch the TV series that followed - I'm supposing the movie was better

It may be pedantic, but I just can't trust a product from someone who can't even spell the past tense of "lead" correctly.

Shame they didn't keep the music.

It doesn't look like it's much more than a concept piece for something they'd like to do. Hasselhoff met Christopher Rutkowski for an interview which took place inside KITT. This footage is from the same location, and The Hoff is wearing the same clothes, so they clearly filmed it that same afternoon.

A few sites have asked Ritkowski what it is, but he can't even say if it's a show or a movie, or any projected timescale (though the URL clearly has the word "movie" in it). It's something he says he hopes to direct, and The Hoff is interested if he can make it happen. But right now, all there is is that tiny bit of footage filmed on the same afternoon they had KITT for an interview set.
