KITT was voiced by William Daniels. The actor is probably best know for his roles as Dr. Mark Craig on St. Elsewhere in the 80's and as the neighbor on Boy Meets World in the 90's.

They could just ask Pontiac for big bucks to make KITT a 4th generation Pontiac Firebird Trans AM, since KITT was originally a Pontiac Firebird.

I dunno about the new KITT. Used to be a Firebird, now some Swedish supercar? Should have gone with the new Firebird, I think there's a new one coming out soon.

I would prefer Karr back. There was always the issue of his computer parts still blinking.

I guess I have as much doubts as anybody else about this movie, so I won't add much about it.

But what I wonder. After seeing BSG:TNS - what would Ron Moore have done with a reimagination of Knight Rider
(Besides the obvious jokes - Micheal Knight becoming Micheala Knight or something like that, or Bonnie being played by the Sci-Fi executive-orwhateverhispositioniscalled of the same name)
Or anyone else, for that matter.
I wonder if it had any potential as a modernized show. (Remembering Viper - maybe not really...)

Well, the show was sort of Modernized already - that Team Knight Rider show in the 90s, which I think was in syndication.

Firebird's dead AFAIK. There *is* a new Camaro coming out. I think for sports cars from the big three, you've got the Viper, Mustang, the upcoming Camaro, the Holden Monero (er....Pontiac GTO), and then arguably, the SRT-4, and that's about it. There's the Solstice and Crossfire, but they're more cruiser than sports car..

I'm surprised with how hot the Mustang's been lately, that they didn't use one of those.

Well, a Firebird is basically a Camaro with a big bird painted on the hood and a chrome grill. So even if a new official one isn't coming out, they could probably make one (or I bet there will be some aftermarket kits to convert one into a Firebird looking car).

But really, I think KITT should have the long hood, short back sort of configuration (which there is a name for, but I forgot it). The one in the poster looks like the hood and trunk are about the same size (actually, the hood seems smaller than the trunk)

You're right, I forget that one. Maybe for a good reason. It might have been modernized, but it was also aimed strongly for kids, wasn't it. I am no longer a child, so I want a modernized adult version.
