And unless he was wrong about what was here -- he still suspected only a handful of experienced Sith and a fair number of half-trained boys and war droids -- what they really needed for backup was a company of Marines, not another Jedi or two.
The Jedi Council might think destroying a Sith stronghold was worth it, but sending troops to a remote world with no people or resources to save would never pass the Senate.

Second,with time to search the place, we should be able to get some real information of their numbers, skills, and equipment. And third, they just might send out a group to try and force us out, which would give us some tactical advantages."
