A warforged partially constructed from a liveoak tree...that was the abode of a dryad! It could probably be best represented by the leadership feat, with the dryad cohort and woodland creature followers.

Right. You cut down the dryad's tree to make warforged, and expect that she's going to like them? Seems to me that she'd be much more likely to want to destroy the warforged as a perversion, abomination. or affront.

Perhaps if the tree were Awakened. Or if the dryad had the warforged as followers, it'd seem better to me.

Perhaps she's an ultra-militant dryad, and had her tree turned into a mobile warrior of her own accord in order to enact bloody vengeance on... let's say... Bob.

Take a look at DMAC's thread over on wiz.com

Wasn't there a recent monster entry in a WotC book about some dryad that survived the loss of her tree and was consumed by revenge and hatred? A warforged needs to be metal, bit a cog from OGL Steampunk can be wood, so one of those twisted dryads (if I could remember what they were in) and an evil wooden cog would be a great tag-team.
