He / Him
I sketched this Kobold Adventuring Group last night during my D&D game. What's their story? How did they start adventuring? Who's in charge?
Reminds me of an "against the giants" campaign idea I had, in which the players all play Small Races in a Shire-type land that's been taken over by orcs and hobgoblins. All the medium-size races got run off the land, so the players would be Halflings and Gnomes, or Goblins freed from hobgoblin slavery, or Kobolds allying with their gnomish enemies to fight the bigger foes. They found an illustrated book with tales of heroes and adventurers. Their clan being largely isolated from other intelligent species, they never reaise that kobolds aren't usually heroes in the traditional mould. When adventure calls, they answer!
As an aside, I love this kind of idea. During the lockdown I put together a series of short adventures for my group to play online, where everyone was a level 1 halfling. They encountered goblins, ogres, evil dwarves, sprites, a dire wolf, a bitter elf, a hag and various other folklorish enemies - very much "the plucky little underdogs of the forest" against "bigger, badder monsters".
