D&D 5E Kobold Press's Creature Codex Submissions

I have used a few monsters from the Tomb of Beasts in a Southlands game. The next game should use the venomous mummy, which will be interesting to see in play. After the players finish the Tomb of Tiberesh, they'll start on Gramelkin where I get to use a sand elemental creature.

I also have the creature codex supported on KS, and I submitted a creature. Unfortunately my creature didn't make the cut. I look forward to seeing the new creatures coming out in this book. The Tomb of Beasts has great color art that I enjoy using on the VTT.

Congrats on being chosen! Alas, my Slime Corruption Dragon was not. I love the monsters in Tome of Beasts, and immediately backed the Creature Codex. The monsters are always interesting, flavorful, and make for memorable encounters.

Congratulations. My snow leopard manticore didn't make the cut, but since it was originally a snow leopard sphinx (tests you on hospitality, something that I figure most muderhobos are doomed to fail) that got scaled down, I am not disappointed.

Chained angels and the sandmen speak to me, so they get used the most from Tome of Beasts (I moved the slaadi to Pandemonium, and made the sandmen the new primary outsider for Limbo). I had planned to use the fey lords in a subplot, but the party went a different direction. I throw in some fiends into mixed groups (force of habit to mostly use the MM/MM2/FF fiends). One of these days I will try to sucker my group into a hag-focused campaign, and the hags will get some use.

Honestly, I have Tome of Beasts but don't use it very often. I usually run home-brew campaigns so make up a lot of my own foes, and then now I'm running players through Tomb of Annihilation which has a pretty good set of infused monsters.

I let another player use Tome of Beasts when he DMs; I like that those monsters keep some of the other players from knowing what they are up against.

Battling a bit of depression this past week. (Couple months really... stupid brain). My monster didn't make it in. That hurt more right now that I want to amdit. Thought I had a fun idea. :(
Knew I should have gone with the non-Newtonian Ooze...
But congrats to the people who did make it in. Good job. I salute you.

Have Tome or Beasts. Use it pretty much every session. Great book (but knock the CRs up by 1 when you use conjure spells or polymorph).

I think people on this thread should post their monster idea and stats, even if they didnt make the cut. Some ideas look really interesting enough to make a great ENworld Monster Manual thread! As someone who struggles with coming up with new, interesting, non-human monsters, I salute your talent.
