Kopru = Monstrous Humanoid?

Forgive me if this has been brought up before, but someone posed this question on the Paizo boards and I had never really paid much attention to the MMII conversion of the Kopru before.

In any case, I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to why the Kopru was made a Monstrous Humanoid in MMII rather than an Aberration (which seems more appropriate to me). They are very similar to the Mind Flayer, and they don't even have a pair of legs to boot!

The ormyrr (also in MMII) shouldn't be a monstrous humanoid either.

Holy crap! I just noticed that. That's ridiculous- who came up with the idea that that thing could possibly be considered humanoid????

(BTW- where did this thing originally appear? It reminds me of the hookah smoking centipede from Alice in Wonderland.)

The kopru isn't that much of a stretch as a Monstrous Humanoid (its lack of legs isn't really a good indicator - see merfolk (and centaurs for the other side of the equation)), though it is a bit of a stretch. The ormyrr on the other hand, not only stretches the definitions until they snap, it is using two black holes to do so! :eek:
