KotS and other module spoilers

Is there any way that there can be something posted asking folks to s-block spoilers for modules? I've run into a few KotS spoilers in innocent threads that would have been pretty major spoilers if I were worse at averting my eyes. These aren't malicious in any way, just people not really thinking that not every group has finished KotS (like mine). I fear that the problem will grow worse as people get through the later modules... in fact, I'm kind of amazed I haven't seen any spoilers for the second adventure.

On a more further-looking note, is there a consensus by the staff as to how long spoilers should be marked? While it's nice for people to be thoughtful regarding spoilers, I understand that after a certain amount of time things are considered to be okay to talk about freely.

I'm not sure that a general announcement would make much difference (it seems people don't notice announcements!) but if you report posts with spoilers in unexpected threads we'll email the people do it and remind them not to (as well as sblocking the relevant text).

Most people are good at avoiding posting spoilers, probably just a few people who need a bit of educating about etiquette.

That's pretty much what I have been doing. To agree with and further emphasize your point, I never read the announcement about reputation until I saw the thread here.
