Rabbit trail: in the Nothwest from Ivargarod to Dragon Mountain - is this area Russio-Slavic in culture? I ask about this are because of you mentioning the East is undeveloped yet.

It sounds as such of being Russo-Slavic in the name, that s why I ask. Do you have dat aon Bard's gate? Is this a "virgin" Game map - no game has ever been played in this land?

Yes, I would say that the lands around the rasimsky Moutnains are Russio-Slavic (but not Bard's Gate). West of Ivargarod is a land called Torassia, which comes from a d20 system adventure called Tsar Rising. It's people worship the Slavic gods, as per the d20 sourcebook Frost & Fur: The Explorer's Guide to the Frozen Lands by Michael Tresca. Both books were published by MonkeyGod Enterprises. Ivargarod doesn't come from those books, however. The castle is controlled by monstrous beings. I haven't decided which yet. Giants would be a good choice or maybe I'll have it be Norse-like trolls.

Bard's Gate is another d20 system sourcebook. It was published by Necromancer Games. Both Bard's Gate and Torassia are part of another region called The Far North, which is detailed in the first post (including its CC2 overview map) of my Kanpur thread here on EN World.

Here's a quick cut and paste for Bard's Gate:
___________

BARD'S GATE (d20 Sourcebook)
Necromancer Games has created some of the best fantasy RPG sourcebooks ever made. And while "Bard's Gate" isn't my favorite NG book, it's an excellent city setting that can be dropped into any world. I admit that I've had some difficulty trying to figure out a place to put the city, but after pouring over my map of Kanpur, I think I've found the perfect spot for it.

Bard's Gate is a crossroads city that stands on a major trade route. That's the city's hook, as far as I can tell. Plus, the city is meant to be in a cold to temperate zone. Therefore, I've made it a gateway city to the Eastern Lands from Torassia and the rest of the Far North. It is the last major, western-style city before a traveler passes into the Horse Lands.

It sits on the Stoneheart River, which flows south towards Sogukol [not shown on the map]. Its location is vital since the southerly half of the river is untamable. There are two sets of falls and tons of rapids, which makes any sort of crossing nearly impossible. The river flows into the edge of the Great Desert and often floods in the spring.

Travelers must pass through Bard's Gate if they wish to travel the Ice Road to the Far East while, hopefully, avoiding the predatory Mongol-like raiders of Sogukol. However, travelers must also be wary of the Nani Tribes of the Orochen Forest as well as vicious gnoll raiders and the undiplomatic Liget Elves of the region. (Liget means “wood” in Hungarian.)
___________

While I haven't updated the information for The far North in quite some time, this description is still fairly accurate for how Bard's Gate works as part of Kulan.

I haven't run any adventures in The Horse Lands. In fact, besides the Bluffside play-by-post game I'm running on The Piazza, I've never run a game anywhere on Kanpur. All my previous games (including my current ENW pbp game) have started on Harqual.

I think, If you were to start another pbp, I would like to start i Bard's gate! So, Piazza on CM, ey? Do you know who I am over there?

Disregard - thinking of something else.

That's a tough question to answer since before I created this map, I had almost nothing for the jungle. I had a name and an idea that it (and the Yikarian Mountains) would act as a major obstruction from the Western Lands to the Eastern Lands.

Lake Gulnulgha isn't meant to be an illithid sea, but it is an interesting idea. The monstrous (mostly goblin) denizens of Slekliang do worship dark gods, so it is possible that the god of the mind flayers might be one of them. More likely, the goblins of Slekliang worship the goblinoid gods with altered Orient-style names. It's too soon for me to know.

As for what else exists in the Jungle of Monsters, I would say just about any D&D monster that could live in a jungle. Of course, the closer one gets to Qishmay in the east, the more likely the monsters will come from the D&D Oriental Adventures books for 3E.

Eldred elves control Nishranneas in the eastern Arhodopan Mountains (southeast of Thayis). Most of the rest of the names for the jungle were 'created' using an online name generator, which allowed for names based on Real World locales. I use that web site, a lot. It has tons of name option that give way better results than what I can come up with. Most of the names in the jungle are based on the three "Asian Towns" name generators. :D

Not that Piazza. I rarely look at CM. This is the web site I mean:
I even have a World of Kulan forum there too. :)

I hadn't planned to start another pbp game for Kulan. I've been considering one for my steampunk Time of Ages setting, but I didn't get any nibbles for it on the setting's FB group. I'm not against the idea of starting up another Kanpurian pbp game, and I could be convinced to run it here on EN World. Starting in Bard's Gate would be an interesting choice, although I's like to create a new hex map for The Far North first.

My next hex map will likely be for The Northwest (the region south of The Far North), however.

Disregard - thinking of something else.
Ah, okay.

Naw. I am on here (obviously), Circvs Maximvs (insane genius) and Mythweavers (Tetsubo). That is about as far as I can spread myself in my current mental state.

I see this area is greatly settled, or at least it looks that way.
Yes, the lands of The Northwest are some of the densest with kingdoms, old empires, and city-states. Of course, it also has a lot to do with the fact I have more detail for the region than any other part of the continent. I would say The Center Lands are also fairly dense, but I've thought about those lands less in my mind.

The region south of Northwest Kanpur is also fairly dense. Simply called The Southwest, it is where I've place a homebrewed version of Egypt based on Green Ronin's excellent boxed set, as well as "Gary Gygax's Necropolis" published by Necromancer Games.

Maybe I can recruit one or two more. What is max size or a group for you? Would it be 3.5 or . . ? a soft conversion would be to go pathfinder.

It would be a D&D v.3.5 game. I'm not into Pathfinder. (I actually took my PFRPG books off my main bookshelf.) I'll post a 'feeler' thread in the Talking the Talk forum.

how is the crow god game going?
It's okay. None of us are posting as much as we were this last spring. The summer was really hot here in Edmonton, and I found myself unwilling to spend tons of time in my apartment without air conditioning. I'm hoping it picks up, but I've lost at least one player. 'Voda Vosa' had to step away from the game. He's been playing the fighter, so I had take control of the PC for now.

Hmm, you could take a look at his PC to see if you'd be willing to run the character. Its in the Aerie of the Crow God Rogues Gallery thread here in the Kulan forum. The PCs are in the middle of exploring a tower, so it would be problematic for a new PC to be dropped in from the middle of nowhere. I just asked V.V. on FB if he'd be okay with such an arrangement.

After a certain point, we could transition in a new PC of your own creation.
