Unattainable Ideal
Holy crap.

The man in the back said everyone attack and it turned into a bar-room blitz
The girl in the corner said boy I gotta warn ya it's gonna turn into a bar-room blitz

Bar-room blitz
Bar-room blitz
Bar-room blitz
Bar-room blitz

It's, it's a bar-room blitz
It's, it's a bar-room blitz
It's, it's a bar-room blitz

Ohhhhhhhhhh... yyyeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have a feeling the rest of human civilization will consist of pathetic attempts to live up to the epic-level coolness of Stephen Chow getting Yuen Wah to dance.

Well seen this, and while there's some nice CGI, the plot is pretty weak. Shaolin Soccer is a much stronger and cohesive effort.

Barsoomcore, you do know the name of that song is "BALLroom Blitz", right? Of course you do.

And that movie does look wicked awesome. The pinball sound effects as guys get bounced around by kicks made me chuckle heartily.

There was a brief period in time when I didn't. Unfortunately, that period coincided with the typing I did to put all those lyrics in.

Oh, well. At least the music was soothing.

Then everyone started grooving.

...

I just watched the trailer, and I'm having trouble typing because I'm laughing so hard.

I don't know if it's good, but it sure looks hilarious, and I really want to see it. The sound effects were great, and my favorite part of the trailer is actually the last few seconds with the three guys on the stairs!

P.S. I want to see Shaolin Soccer as well. Can anyone recommend it?

Consider it recommended.

Just bought it on DVD the other day. Originally watched it at a friend's house. It's funny, though not bwah-hah-hah funny. Touching, without being overly sentimental. Amazing special effects.

Can't wait for Kung-Fu Hustle. Looks like a kung-fu comedy version of A Fistful of Dollars/Yojimbo... and that crappy Bruce Willis "remake."
